Greg Sullo, Founding Member & Partner

Biography: Born in Boston, Massachusetts; educated in Texas, Greg concentrates his area of practice in business and real estate transactions. As head of our Business Organizations & Transactions Practice Group, Greg has helped incorporate 65 new and emerging businesses in the Houston area. Greg is also the founding partner of Texas Lone Star Investments, Inc., a local area investment company working to help secure venture capital for small start-up companies and real estate developers.

Andrew Sullo, Founding Member & Partner

Biography: Andrew joined his brother in forming Sullo & Sullo, L.L.P. in 2000. He currently leads the firm’s National Pharmaceutical and Products Liability Group as well as its local Personal Injury and Catastrophic Event Dockets. He has represented hundreds of plaintiffs nationwide in cases involving the U.S. Anti-Terrorism Statute, Talcum Powder Ovarian Cancer, Stryker Rejuvenate/ABGII hips, recalled DePuy ASR hips, DePuy Pinnacle hips, Transvaginal Mesh Failure, IVC Filter Injuries, and Xarelto Internal Bleeding Incidents. He also represents a multitude of clients in Houston that were victims of Hurricane Harvey’s controlled flooding releases as well as a robust docket of car and truck accident cases.

Andrew has logged more than 8,000 hours in front of a multitude of judges in court and has tried hundreds of cases to verdict. Sullo & Sullo Attorneys received the Reader’s Choice Award for The Best Law Firm in 2011 by the three Houston neighborhoods of River Oaks, West University Place, and Bellaire. Andrew was recognized as the 2012 ‘Best of the Best’ Criminal Practice Lawyer in Texas by the Texas Lawyers Group

In 2014, Managing Partner Andrew Sullo began servicing the firm’s clients that had been injured by many of the world’s largest corporations. Since that time, he has obtained combined settlements in excess of $50 million on behalf of his clients against multiple NYSE traded companies including one corporation noted as a Fortune 100 Company with worldwide revenue exceeding $60 billion. When asked about the success of the firm’s personal injury division, Andrew opined, “Participating in litigation against a company with a $300 billion market cap taught me the resolve and fortitude necessary to fight the largest corporations on behalf of those clients that need a voice.”

In 2018, Sullo & Sullo was invited to join a small and elite group of law firms litigating against foreign banks for laundering money on behalf of Iran in violation of the US Anti- Terrorism Act. BNP Paribas, a French bank, plead guilty to criminal charges and agreed to pay over $8 billion in violations. HSBC Holding Group, a London bank, agreed to pay $1.25 billion in penalties as a condition of a deferred prosecution agreement. Several other banks paid hundreds of millions of dollars each in settlements, fines, and deferred prosecution agreements based on anti-terrorism law violations. Sullo & Sullo is now prosecuting these banks on behalf of injured and fallen US soldiers and contractors who served in the Iraq War.

Andrew Sullo has recently been named as a TOP 100 NATIONAL TRIAL LAYWER for the 8th consecutive year by the National Trial Lawyers Association.

Rey Ulisses Davila, Associate

Biography: Rey was born and raised in Alief-Houston, Texas. Rey has been a remarkable part of our firm for over 15 years. He began his career at Sullo & Sullo as a legal assistant, and then as a paralegal. While working for our firm, Rey continued attending college part-time and obtained his undergraduate degree.

After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Houston, Rey decided to answer to his true calling and gained acceptance to South Texas College of Law, where he attended full-time while continuing to work at Sullo & Sullo. He graduated law school as a certified mediator, and he achieved a high-performance grade while working for the Randall O. Sorrells Legal Clinics where he mainly helped people with their Criminal Expunctions and Non-Disclosures.

Rey now focuses on his practice of criminal defense. He is a strong believer in the presumption of innocence and the burden of proof belonging to the accuser.

He represents clients charged with DWI and numerous other misdemeanor level crimes such as assault, burglary of vehicle, deadly conduct, harassment, hit and run, terroristic threat and theft.

Nicole Hillman, Associate

Biography: Nicole graduated from Law School at the University of Denver and was licensed by the Texas Bar in 2006. She focuses her practice on consumer debt, post-judgment garnishment and bankruptcy.

Joseph P. Johnson, Associate

Biography: Joseph P. Johnson was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. He attended Austin College in Sherman, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in History and a minor in English. After graduation, Joseph joined the AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America program, a federal program established to emulate the Peace Corps.

After the expiry of his term of service with the AmeriCorps, Joseph attended Oklahoma City University School of Law in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joseph was a merit scholar, faculty research assistant, and made the dean’s list following his first year at OCU Law. After being admitted to the state bar, Joseph began his legal career as a felony and misdemeanor prosecutor. During his time as a prosecutor, Joseph handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases from intake to grand jury presentation to plea bargain, bench trial, or jury trial. Joseph also handled juvenile, asset forfeiture, and appellate cases during his time as a prosecutor. Joseph joined Sullo & Sullo to work in the Criminal Defense Department in November 2021.

Katherine Marshall, Associate

Biography: Originally from San Antonio, Katherine attended and graduated from Alamo Heights High School, where she excelled academically and on the track. She went on to attend Brown University, where she concentrated in public policy while earning All-Ivy honors as a member of the school-record setting 4×800 meter relay team. After Brown, Katherine attended the University of Houston Law Center, where she worked in the school’s immigration and civil clinics, winning an asylum case on behalf of her client.

She also clerked for Harry Gee, Jr., and Associates, an immigration firm, where she drafted employment and family-based petitions, and later for The John M. O’Quinn Firm, where she engaged in all aspects of civil litigation and international arbitration. After graduation, Katherine filed tens of dozens of (approved) I-601 waiver applications with Scott & Associates, an immigration boutique, before coming to work for Sullo & Sullo. Katherine now lives in the heart of Houston with her husband, her two young children, her golden retriever, and her two cats. She enjoys running miles (and miles) around the city and sharing its diverse offerings with her family and friends.

Katherine McCredy, Associate

Biography: Originally from Oregon, Kathryn moved to Texas in 1997 to attend Texas Christian University where she majored in International Communication (through the school’s journalism department) and minored in Spanish. After graduation, she worked for several years as a marketing manager at a boutique advertising agency in Southlake, Texas. In 2004, Kathryn started law school at the University of Houston.

There, Kathryn was involved in the Moot Court program participating in oral arguments in various competitions across the country. During law school, she also clerked at The O’Quinn Law Firm assisting with medical malpractice cases and transportation litigation. After graduation, Kathryn began a fellowship which became a full-time position in the Family Law section of Lone Star Legal Aid (“LSLA”). The majority of her docket at LSLA centered on litigation for the protection of domestic violence victims. Most recently, Kathryn worked “on contract” with The O’Quinn Law Firm assisting in securities litigation. During that time, she was asked to present oral arguments before the San Francisco County Superior Court of California. In August 2012, Kathryn joined Sullo & Sullo, LLP as an Associate Attorney.

Jacqueline Okwueze, Associate

Biography: Jacqueline Okwueze was born in Ibadan, Nigeria and moved to the United States at an early age with her mother, a native of Ukraine. Following graduation from Cate High School in Santa Barbara, California, Jacqueline received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, cum laude, from Texas Southern University and represented her college competitively as a NCAA Division 1 athlete in Tennis. She excelled athletically and academically and was a recipient of an athletic and academic scholarship.

Thereafter, she received a Master’s in Business Administration and was selected one of four students from her graduating class to be inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. She then followed her dream of becoming an attorney and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Texas. During law school Jacqueline worked at the Earl Carl Institute for Legal & Social Policy, Inc. as a Research Assistant and published an article in the Institute’s Journal.

She also worked as a Graduate Assistant and taught undergraduate level courses in Business Law. After graduating from TMSL, Jacqueline worked as a law clerk with our Law Firm briefly, and then pursued her passion for immigration law. She worked as an associate for an Immigration Law Firm in Houston where she gained valuable experience in representing clients in Deferred Actions, Employment Based Petitions, Family Based Petitions, Adjustment of Status Applications, Naturalization, Waiver of Inadmissibility, Removal Proceedings, Bond Hearings, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Immigration Appeals. Jacqueline is an attorney licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas. She is a member of the Texas State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Phillip Payter, Associate

Biography: Phillip is a native Houstonian, he was born in Houston and he grew up in Spring, Texas. He went to Texas A&M University for his bachelor’s degree, majoring in history while minoring in psychology. Immediately after graduating Texas A&M, he attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he became a Certified Mediator along with earning his Doctorate of Jurisprudence. Before joining Sullo & Sullo, Phillip worked as an attorney reviewing documents and using his legal expertise for large corporations primarily in the energy industry.

Elisha Phipps, Associate

Biography: A native of Michigan, Elisha Phipps graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Legal Studies and a Minor in Spanish, and went on to graduate from Michigan State University College of Law. She has been a member of the State Bar of Texas since 2015.

Before joining Sullo & Sullo, Elisha practiced immigration and nationality law exclusively, with special focus on removal defense and family-based petitions. She has represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services as well as before various immigration courts in the Southern and Central United States. Elisha has skillfully handled many asylum and withholding of removal claims, cancellation of removal cases, adjustment of status applications, and more. She has also represented numerous clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Since joining Sullo & Sullo, Elisha has also begun vigorously representing clients in Class C misdemeanor cases. Elisha is proud to continue expanding the legal services that she can offer to clients, especially in the great team of highly skilled attorneys at Sullo & Sullo. Elisha is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Lenzi Sheible, Associate

Biography: Lenzi is a native Texan who was also her high school valedictorian. After being admitted to The University of Texas at Austin, she received her bachelor’s degree with highest honors in only two years. She stayed at UT for law school, graduating with honors (and two new kids), then proceeded to practice law.

Lenzi focuses her practice in the area of criminal law, maintaining a busy docket of English and Spanish speakers. She represents clients charged with DWI, assault, reckless driving, racing, weapons charges, minor drug offenses, and other crimes, making her well-known at the Harris County courthouse.

Larissa Teasdale, Associate

Biography: Larissa Teasdale was not born in Texas, but she got here as fast as she could. She grew up overseas in Jakarta, Indonesia, which provided her the opportunity to travel the world extensively. These international experiences, combined with her family’s many relocations, further developed Larissa’s extroverted personality and desire to help people. After finally settling in Texas, she attended Baylor University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics and her Juris Doctorate.

Before joining Sullo & Sullo, Ms. Teasdale was a civil litigator focused primarily on insurance defense involving maritime/admiralty law, wrongful death, personal injury, professional negligence, and other diverse matters. Prior to her work in civil litigation, Ms. Teasdale was an Assistant District Attorney for Harris County prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases.
