PRIVACY POLICY
Privacy Policy
At Sullo & Sullo, LLP, your privacy is of utmost importance to us. Our goal is for you to feel comfortable when visiting our website and using its services. We fully understand that your legal issues are very personal and private. We will tell you how you need to protect your information, and the choices you have regarding how that information will be used. We urge you to read the Privacy Policy and User Agreement of SulloLaw to gain an understanding of our commitment to your and your privacy. We want you to participate in that commitment. Our Privacy Policy is made up of the following articles; we hope reading these articles gives you a clear idea of how we manage your information, and how we protect your privacy.
If you have questions regarding our privacy police, please direct them to the Webmaster by emailing privacy@sullolaw.com.
ARTICLE 1: Information Not Governed by our Privacy Policy Remember any personal and legal information, revealed in a public forum (bulletin board, mail list, chat room or event) is not subject to our Privacy Policy and could be seen by third parties which are not related to SulloLaw. That information could be used by those third parties to contact you for unauthorized purposes. If you link to a third-party site from the SulloLaw website, any information you reveal on that site will not be subject to this Privacy Policy, therefore you should consult the privacy policies of each web site visited.
ARTICLE 2: Sources of Information.SulloLaw collects information from Attorneys and Users. Both Attorneys and Users may browse our website without entering personal information, thus allowing them to remain anonymous.
ARTICLE 3: Information Provided by User to Attorney Information provided by User will, in no way, be disseminated by the law firm of Sullo & Sullo without express consent of the User. The SulloLaw registration forms asks User(s) to enter name, email address, preferences, demographic information and to answer various legal questions. This information is only used when the User is requesting an attorney consultation or purchasing attorney services, and the information is forwarded to a Sullo & Sullo attorney only when approved by User. The contact information from the User will not be sold or distributed to any third party. We do, however, collect User data strictly for demographic profiling use. The information is shared with advertisers on an aggregate basis.
ARTICLE 4: Ask-A-Lawyer Consultation Requests. Should the User choose to request an attorney consultation from those listed in our Ask-A-Lawyer directory, the User may do so directly by telephone, fax, mail, or via the online Request Form. As the Request Form states, User should NOT send Attorney any confidential information until and unless Attorney asks User to do so. User messages are typically transmitted directly to the Attorney through email or through an independent provider’s “Email to Fax service,” when the User chooses to use the online Request Form. SulloLaw takes no responsibility for the transmission or delivery of any such message. Copies of most messages sent through the Request Form are sent to our archives where they may be used on a confidential basis for our own purposes: to determine website traffic flow, to determine attorney responsiveness, or to determine visitor satisfaction. We maintain the confidentiality of any request to the fullest extent permitted by law. Should a User, within a short period of time, send multiple copies of a similar message via the Request Form, our system or staff may alert Attorneys to that fact to enable them to take it into consideration when determining whether to reply to a Request Form, or grant a Consultation. User could also potentially be barred from future use of the website or any of its features.
ARTICLE 5: Report Requests. SulloLaw will never require reports from Attorneys regarding who contacts them through the SulloLaw website or who becomes a client, or the nature or specifics of any matter. SulloLaw is a listing directory and online marketplace for the sale of legal services by Attorneys. SulloLaw is not a “Legal Referral Service,” or “Law Firm.” SulloLaw does not practice law. As a listing directory and online marketplace, SulloLaw will never receive any portion of any Attorney’s fees should an Attorney-client relationship be established through this website.
ARTICLE 6: Information Provided by Attorneys. The information collected from Attorney will be used in the Attorney’s profile and disseminated to User.
ARTICLE 7: IP Addresses. The SulloLaw website logs IP addresses and browser types, but we never link IP addresses to personally identifiable information. This means that while the session of a User will be tracked, the User will remain anonymous. IP addresses are logged for system administration purposes and analyzed to constantly improve the value of the materials available on the website.
ARTICLE 8: Feedback. Users may provide input and suggestions, or other feedback to SulloLaw regarding the SulloLaw website, however those offering feedback are required to provide their name and email address. Any contact information entered when providing such feedback will only be used to acknowledge or respond to that feedback.
ARTICLE 9: General Advice. While SulloLaw has a very strong Privacy Protection policy on our end, doing our utmost to protect the privacy of every visitor, we bear no responsibility for anyone else’s conduct with respect to material a User may transmit. As is true with ANY Internet usage and access to ANY website, if you are using someone else’s computer, or another person has access to your computer, or you are using a corporate network or other type of network, it can be possible for others to retrieve copies of the email sent or to trace places you have visited on the Internet.
ARTICLE 10: Amendments. SulloLaw can amend this Privacy Policy on a prospective basis (i.e., for future visits) at any time by posting a revised policy on our website. Further, nothing in this Privacy Policy is designed to protect the privacy of visitors whose use of the Company’s websites are, in the reasonable opinion of SulloLaw or its attorney customers, intended for illegal, improper, or abusive purposes, for purposes of marketing or solicitation or would violate any other terms and conditions related to use of the website. This SulloLaw Privacy statement is effective as of October 1, 2000.
ARTICLE 11: Opt-Out Policy. Visitors on the Site are offered a means of controlling the use of session information. If, at any time after registration for information or a consultation, you change your mind about receiving information from us or about the use of information volunteered by you, please send us a request, specifying your new choice. To opt out of future emails, please either click unsubscribe in the body of the email communication or email us at output@sullolaw.com.
